Looking to start the new year with a new career? Workers with health care, finance and technology backgrounds may be in luck.

Those sectors were well-represented on CareerBuilder’s recent list of 19 hot jobs for 2016, which ranked roles based on demand by looking at the difference between the number of job postings and the number of hires per month. Registered nurses ranked on top of the list, with 199,082 more job openings than hires. Total employment in that field hit 2.77 million in 2015. Median hourly earnings were $32.04.

CareerBuilder worked with Economic Modeling Specialists Intl. (ESMI) to compile its list, which also includes median hourly earnings and total employment within each field. All data is from January to September 2015.

Computer and information systems managers have the highest median hourly earnings on the list, at $61.12. Web developers make the least, with median annual earnings of $30.52.

“The availability of jobs across industries underscores the need for companies to evaluate where their talent deficits are and become more strategic about how they fill these needs — whether that means reskilling their current workers, offering higher salaries to attract workers, or using data analytics to target talent with the right skills,” Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder, said in a statement.

There’s some overlap with CareerBuilder’s 2015 list, with registered nurses, industrial engineers, web developers, physical therapists, sales managers and others showing up in both places.
